Getting to Bali is becoming meaningfully easier this year. A series of new low-cost flights to Bali in 2026 — from TransNusa, Jetstar, and AirAsia Indonesia — are adding frequencies, opening new routes, and giving travellers from Singapore, Melbourne, and beyond far more flexibility when planning their journey to the island.

TransNusa Doubles Up on the Bali–Singapore Route

From 2 May 2026, TransNusa Airlines will operate a second daily round-trip on the Bali–Singapore corridor. The existing morning service departs Denpasar at 07:30 WITA, arriving into Changi at 09:55 SGT. The new afternoon flight leaves at 10:20 WITA, with the return from Singapore at 14:15 SGT.

For guests transiting through Singapore from Europe, the Americas, or Africa, the doubled frequency means shorter layovers and more options on the final leg of their journey to Bali.

New Domestic Routes and Growing Island Connectivity

TransNusa is also launching a new Jakarta–Lombok route with twice-daily flights from 17 April 2026, alongside increased frequencies on Jakarta–Yogyakarta and Jakarta–Singapore from the same date.

Lombok’s rise as a destination is beginning to ease congestion at Ngurah Rai, while opening up island-hopping possibilities for guests who want to see more of Indonesia before settling in for a stay in Seminyak. TransNusa President Director Bayu Sutanto described the expansion as part of the airline’s broader commitment to supporting tourism growth across the region.

More Ways to Fly in from Australia

Both Jetstar and AirAsia Indonesia have launched new services between Bali and Melbourne this year, making direct cheap flights to Bali from Australia more accessible than ever. Australian visitors remain Bali’s largest international arrival group, and these additional routes are expected to bring hundreds of thousands of extra travellers to the island in 2026 alone.

    Bali's Most Connected Year Yet

Passenger movements at Ngurah Rai averaged around 2 million per month throughout 2025. Jakarta led by volume, followed by Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Surabaya, and Melbourne. With more than 7 million international arrivals forecast for Bali travel in 2026, the island is entering its most connected era — and the options for getting here have never been broader.
